About the Art

The artist brought two signature pieces together to create this artwork, merging the first edition watermelon keffiyeh design with the hand-painted keffiyeh border on raw canvas into one unified composition. At the center, the words We are all Palestinians appear simple yet intentional. They are not meant as a slogan, but as reassurance; a reminder to Palestinians that they are not alone. The statement speaks to solidarity, shared humanity, and the understanding that their struggle is seen, felt, and carried beyond borders. The keffiyeh border was originally painted by hand, preserving its texture and symbolism of heritage, unity, and identity. The watermelon wrapped in the keffiyeh reflects the colors of the Palestinian flag and has long symbolized cultural identity. These two elements were painted separately and later combined digitally, allowing both symbols to exist within one powerful frame.
