The artist was deeply moved by the lyrics of Sol Band Gaza from their song Teshtaaq, and from that emotion, this artwork was created. Teshtaaq (تشتاق) means you long or you yearn. The chosen lyric: Have you ever lived your life every day as if it were a final goodbye and separation? carries a quiet but overwhelming truth. It speaks to living with uncertainty, where each embrace could be the last and every day holds the weight of possible separation. The key intertwined with olive branches was hand-painted separately, symbolizing home, memory, and rooted resilience. Together, the symbols and words transform music into visual form; holding within the piece the ache of longing, the tenderness of goodbye, and the enduring connection to what is loved and deeply missed.
